As the world knows our beloved ‘VOICE’ Whitney Houston passed away this past Saturday at the age of 48.

With the Grammy’s airing live the next day producers were left scrambling for a way to pay tribute to the great Ms. Houston.  There was only one voice of this generation that could do the job, our girl Jennifer.   Though she was grieving herself Jennifer accepted the task of singing Whitney’s most iconic song ‘I Will Always Love You’ live.  Jhud gave an emotional, heartfelt, and perfect performance of the song.

What some did not know is that Jennifer had the honor of not only performing the song in Whitney’s passing she was able to pay tribute to her Idol while she was still here to enjoy it. Two years ago Jennifer honored Whitney at the 2010 BET Honors and took on her song like no one has ever done before.  While everyone could see that Whitney enjoyed the performance no one ever knew exactly how she felt to hear Jennifer perform her signature ballad for her….. Until now!  VH1 release rarely before seen footage of Whitney talking about that night and how impressed she was with Jennifer.  Take a look…

Almost as if she was speaking from the grave Whitney gave praises to Jennifer for her performance.

Whitney we will miss you forever, but you will live on in our hearts.

Whitney E. Houston
