Whether you want to love or hate the new rendition of the classic “We Are The World” it’s not gonna stop the new version to rise to the top of the charts. This Thursday the 25 anniversary song featuring our Dreamgirl Jennifer Hudson debuted at the top of the billboard charts coming in at #2 with download sales of 267,000. Keep in mind that this number is from only 3 days worth of sales as the single only became available for download Friday missing a full week of sales so this number if expected to grow once a full sales week is counted. The single still remains #1 on the overall iTunes charts as well.
Also in other news involving Jenny as of today her grammy winning debut album “Jennifer Hudson” has been charting on the Billboard Hot R&B & Hip-Hop album charts for a total of 72 weeks since it’s release back in September 2008. Congrats are indeed in order for Ms. Hudson. We can’t wait for your new album to drop to keep up the pace.
